Chalet Snowbel

Chalet Snowbel in Meribel probably has one of the best locations of any individual chalet in this resort. It is just two doors down from La Refuge restaurant which is bang in the centre of town. It is less than a minute's walk to a brand new escalator that brings you up to the ski slope by the Tourist Office. A short ski and you are at La Chaudanne, the main lift area of Meribel with easy access to the whole of the mighty Three Valleys ski area. If you want some evening entertainment, then Meribel's bars and restaurants are just a short walk away.

Chalet Snowbel was built in 2005. The chalet has three bedrooms, all twins or doubles, and one of the rooms can take extra beds for use as a family room. Chalet Snowbel has two balconies and a large terrace where you can soak up the sunset whilst sipping on some après ski drinks.

From the street level, you enter the garage area which can be used to store your skiing equipment - there is a boot warmer in here so you can ensure toasty feet in the morning before you go skiing. Up the stairs is the entrance to the chalet itself. Bedroom 1, an en-suite twin/double which can take one or two more beds, is just off the entrance hall. This room is ideal for a couple, three single adults or a family of 4. Bedroom 1 has a balcony with views of Meribel and the mountains beyond.

On the other side of the entrance hall is the main living and dining area, an open plan room with the kitchen, living and dining area. The living area has space for 5 on its corner sofa. There is a large flat screen TV in here with Freeview channels, a DVD player and a choice of DVDs. There's also an iPod docking station. The living room also boasts a balcony with views over Meribel and the mountains.

On the second floor are Bedroom 2, a large en-suite twin/double, and Bedroom 3 which is a very small room set up as a twin or a double. It's ideal for one adult, two children, or at a push a couple. Across the landing from Bedroom 3 is Bathroom 3 with bath, stand-up shower, toilet and basin. There is also a large outdoor terrace on the second floor.
