Pros
- Reliable deep snow, especially in January and February
- Night skiing is well developed in Niseko and offers a long ski day
- Good food and a wide array of accommodation options including luxury hotels
- Polite gracious locals
Cons
- Large hotels are somewhat charmless
- Lack of things to do away from the skiing
- Bad weather can last for weeks (but this is great news for the powder hounds)
