Claviere resort guide - a general overview
Claviere is a small, traditional village, on the border between Italy and France. In fact the main route between Turin and Briancon goes through Claviere and then into France and the resort of Montgenevre. The slopes of Montgenevre are just as easily reached as those of the Italian side and the large Milky Way. However, the lift pass is not shared so you have to buy a day pass to ski on the French side. Ski holidays in Claviere can be described as cheap and cheerful, best suited to those who are on a budget and are beginners or low intermediates.

Claviere Mountain Restaurants
Being nicely located right on the border of France and Italy this charming resort is lucky enough to have restaurants offering a fusion of two of the most famous culinary nations in Europe. Although there is not as many restaurants located here as other parts of the Milky Way, there is still a fair few very good Italian eateries dotted around. The Ski Lodge on the nursery slopes is a good place to try, offering tasty Italian cuisine and it also serves a beautiful glass of Vino Caldo. Chalet Mon Soleil located at the start of the number 93 run serves flavoursome Italian delicacies and the views here are stunning.
