Fieberbrunn resort guide - a general overview
Until 2016 Fieberbrunn was its own small ski resort. It had a pretty, traditional and charming Tryolean village centre and 4 or 5 ski lifts that accessed the largely north facing home slopes. However, the new Reckmoos Sud gondola then linked the ski area of Fieberbrunn to the much larger interlinked Hinterglemm and neighbouring Saalbach. In one stroke the ski area of Fieberbrunn went from small local runs only to a massive ski area (reputedly Austria's largest) with nearly 300kms of pistes - an intermediate skier's paradise.
The village centre retains all its charms but is a short bus ride away from the base of the main lifts where there is a secondary lodging area.
