Le Bettex resort guide - a general overview

The pretty village of Le Bettex (sometimes known as Bettaix) is situated on the banks of the River Doron and just below Les Menuires. The village has its own creche facility as well as a restaurant, bar and ski shop. Despite chalet and apartment developments in recent years, the village still maintains its traditional Savoyarde style and this is the perfect location for those looking for a more traditional peaceful holiday. The centre of Les Menuires with its leisure centre, shops and restaurants for those who want more wide-ranging facilities is accessible on skis.

This village is not recommended for non-skiers unless you have your own transport as there is no public transport link out of the village.

There is only one bar/restaurant in Le Bettex village, and as the village is so small it is likely it's going to be located right by your chalet! If you're feeling adventurous you can go for the "menu surprise" which is 4 courses for 32 Euros, which is incredible value for the food served.

Les Menuires (Le Bettex) Mountain Restaurants

If you don't want to head back down to your chalet in Le Bettex for lunch there are a few mountain restaurants dotted around the ski area here. The favourite seems to be the Grand Lac - a large chalet located at the bottom of the Granges chair lift half-way to St-Martin which offers huge portions to re-energise you for the afternoon and the prices along with the service are very good. There are lots of other places located slope side for you to also choose from if you head over to the main part of Les Menuires.
