Hotel Schweizerhof

The Romantik Schweizerhof is exceedingly well located in the resort, just two minutes' walk from the Grindelwald railway station which gives easy, comfortable and relaxing access to the main slopes of Kleine Scheidegg (from where there is access to both the Jungfraujoch railway station - the highest in Europe - and the slopes of Wengen). It is beautifully furnished in a modern Alpine style and the service from the staff is excellent. There is a cosy bar / lounge with open fireplace and 3 restaurants (a la carte, main dining room and stube) that serve genuinely good food.

There are 48 rooms in the main hotel (those that face South have balconies and amazing mountain views of the Eiger). The hotel is half way through renovating the main hotel rooms and our recommendation is to book the recently renovated rooms if possible. There are also modern suites in the 'Residence' building next door to the hotel, and the privately owned 'chalets' such as Rotstocki (featured in our chalet section). These suites vary in size from one to three bedrooms and are each decorated in a separate style. However, all are modern and chic, and benefit from an abundance of light and space. Each has state of the art entertainment systems and modern bathrooms.
