Overview
The GHM group of hotels which originate in Bali, Indonesia, opened the Chedi in Andermatt in December 2013. This is a stunning Alpine hotel combining Asian touches with very modern and chic Alpine architecture and furnishings.
All the rooms are massive and start at 52 square metres and finish up with the Furka suite at 330 square metres. Spacious is an understatement. Rich alpine woods, leather and warm stone throughout make these contemporary masterpieces, some of the most sumptuous rooms we have seen in the Alps.
The amazing facilities include a restaurant serving both Swiss and international dishes as well as a classic Japanese restaurant which in 2023 was awarded two Michelin stars. There is of course a chic lobby area, bar and living room, as well as a wine and cigar library. The huge Spa and wellness centre includes both an indoor and outdoor pool as well as an array of pampering treatments. We have never seen a spa area as large as the one at the Chedi, it's amazing.
This visually stunning hotel is a must for those looking to get away from the crowds and experience something different in a classically beautiful Swiss resort.
The Chedi is one of the places you take someone special for a weekend or longer. This hotel has the wow factor!
The Chedi is stunning in all aspects; rooms, spa, restaurants, service, staff. We think if you are looking for a cool place to impress or just to get away from the office and relax, you will not be disappointed staying here.
