Overview
Quaint, rustic, romantic, and alpine are words that come to mind when describing the Montagna di Luce. This small hotel was once an old Walser producing butter and local cheese; today it is a hotel of true uniqueness. All the rooms and communal areas are decorated in old stone and wood giving the whole place a real alpine feel.
The Montagna di Luce has only nine bedrooms all in slightly different styles with either en-suite Jacuzzi bath or hydro-massage shower. The rooms all have warm wooden floors and plenty of traditional cupboards for storing clothes, bags and so on.
For those of you who like your food the restaurant at the Montagna di Luce is one of the best in the resort so get ready for an unforgettable experience!
The owners of the hotel also own and run a new wellness spa in the centre of town. Guests staying at the Montagna di Lucce can use these facilities which include a small indoor pool as well as a hot tub, and sauna to sooth aching muscles. Massage and other therapies are also available.
The hotel is located just past the centre of the resort which is about a three or four minute drive away. The local shuttle service runs every twenty minutes and will take you to the lift station in the morning and back to the hotel in the afternoon. The shuttle service is also available in the evening. If you drive and wanted to leave you car in town this is possible and will cost 5 Euro per day.
The Montagna di Luce would suit anyone who wants to get away from large crowded resorts and would like to experience a truly traditional alpine hotel.
This is a charming rustic hotel ideally suited to couples and families looking for excelent friendly hospitality in charming surroundings. Feels more like staying in a chalet than a hotel as there are only 9 rooms. The food is fantastic!
