Overview
The Hotel Blizzard in Val d'Isere is a luxurious alpine hotel, perfectly situated in the heart of the resort just 200 metres from the main lifts. All the rooms are comfortably furnished in traditional Savoyard style with great views of either the slopes or the village. The hotel has the feel of a proper chalet richly decorated with lots of wood panelling, beamed ceilings and natural stone giving it a warm and cosy feel. It has a relaxed atmosphere with a truly cosmopolitan clientele. The bar is popular for pre-dinner drinks for residents and non-residents alike.
The food is excellent both in the main gastronomic restaurant and in the speciality restaurant, La Luge. One of Val d'Isere's best hotels but without the stuffiness or formality found in others. If you would like the option of dining out rather than eating in then the Hotel Blizzard can take a booking on a Bed and Breakfast basis only. Please call for details.
The bar remains the great feature but spa and rooms a close second. The bar is cosy and always has a buzy atmosphere, lots of comfy sofas and great bar staff. Rooms are well appointed with huge comfy beds, and south facing roomshave lovely views of the mountain. Spa is lovely with lots of relaxing areas and a great indoor and outdoor pool. The Blizzard remains one of the most popular hotels in the resort.
