Hotel Bellier

" We stayed here for a week - the family run hotel and staff were very attentive. The hotel has a great location being only 3 mins walk from the main lift stations and less into the centre of town. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable (good beds) and the bathrooms very recently refurbished. Clean towels every day and they even moved my son to a better room as the hotel was quiet and his original single was small. In common with French 3 star hotels the lighting in the bathroom, bedroom and stairs was minimal though I wish they'd put more lights in and the TV had French channels only! I did ask if they would oil our bedroom door and that of our neighbour's as we could hear them clearly entering and leaving their room which doubtless they could of us but that didn't happen. Their food was good but unspectacular and it would have helped if they had heated the plates before serving as much of it arrived cold. No-one left hungry from dinner and there was plenty of everything (cold, bar a boiled egg and sausage) at breakfast. The coffee was not great though. There was some noise from a pub across the road but that was always silenced at midnight. The worst noise was the snow clearing operation on the road outside which started at 5am but oh you should be so lucky to hear that 'cos it meant the skiing was fantastic! Room Tip: There is no lift so you may wish the 2nd rather than the 3rd floor - reception is on the 1st floor. "
