Hotel Avancher

The Hotel Avancher is a brand new hotel in Val d'Isere (opened December 2017). Built on the site of the old Raclette Restaurant the hotel offers luxury rooms and apartments (sleeping 6+ guests) in the annex 'Lodge'. The chef from the old restaurant, Olivier Nuret, heads up the new hotel dining experience so much of the old atmosphere and popular dishes he and his team prepared are retained. True to their core values they offer fresh, local ingredients in order to offer gourmet cuisine including homemade starters, selected meats, a number of different fondues and of course the iconic Raclette à l'Ancienne which is delicately scorched under the central oven and served straight to your plate, as tradition requires. In the Avancher restaurant is the only one in town to offer this dish.

The new Avancher bar will be open from 11am until midnight and with its open fireplace and comfortable decor is likely to become a popular venue for residents and visitors to relax. The bar is well stocked with spirits from around the world but you may prefer one of the craft beers, or a cocktail. The bar also serves boards of charcuterie from the Maison Guy Gros.

The hotel is located in a quiet area at the top end of the Val d'Isere. The centre of the resort is just 5-6 minutes' walk away and at the end of the day you can ski back very close to the hotel if you cut across the top of the nursery slope area. With the free and very efficient resort bus service everything is reachable. There is a ski hire shop (Sport 2000) opposite the hotel and you can purchase your lift passes through the reception desk.

The images we show are architect's impressions of the style used for the finish of the hotel's interior. The rooms will be modern alpine in style with modern bathrooms and most with balconies. We will publish a full set of images later in 2017.
