Overview
The Hotel Le Totem (formerly known as the Terminal Neige) in Flaine is a modern ski in ski out property located in the heart of the resort. Skiers can clip into their skis right outside the hotel doors, and then a 30 second glide will take them to the Grandes Platières gondola - the main lift to the upper slopes. The hotel has in recent years been completely refurbished to a very high standard maintaining its original modern design but combining it with vintage furniture and fabrics with a distinctive North American feel.
All rooms have their own unique mural and offer either double or twin beds, satellite TV, safe, radio, hairdryer and telephone. The Classic room are quite small (15 square metres) but there are larger Club rooms with balcony and family rooms.
A number of dining options are available: for breakfast, either the generous buffet or a coffee and croissant from the Corner Bodega. For dinner, options include a mountain specialities corner, Italian, a healthy corner, soup bar, Les Cocottes de Mamie Fernande (serving traditional local cuisine), and a children's corner.
The hotel features a small bar in the lobby of the hotel, providing a warm and friendly atmosphere for guests to get to know each other. Whether it's just for a quiet hot chocolate or cocktails to keep the evening going, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
There are very few hotels in Flaine this one is the best. Having had a total refurb recently and with a ski in, ski out location there is really no competition. With a modern feel throughout this is a cool place to stay.
