Hotel Johann

The newly renovated Hotel Johann Schladming is located right on the main square and only 200 metres from the main Planai lift station. Getting around could not be easier. The ski hire shop is on the way to the lifts and the ski pass office and ski school meeting point is on your doorstep.

The phrase 'alpine chic' is often used to describe hotels in the Alps. However, in this case it is more than apt. The hotel has had a complete overhaul in the last couple of years and is now very smart, with lovely bedrooms utilising local wood and with modern bathrooms incorporating rain showers for your comfort.

The bar is very cool as it is situated just outside the hotel in the piazza. Think modern igloo! The restaurant is a favourite with both hotel guests as well as local residents as the chef is well known in the area for producing high quality dishes utilising local ingredients.

The spa area is a real must after a day on the slopes. Situated on the top floor of the hotel with a heated outdoor infinity pool with spectacular views all around, as well as a sauna, steam room and various treatment rooms which are available for a massage session to sooth any aching muscles.

All in all the hotel Johann is a must if you want to stay in Schladming.
