Overview
Now managed and owned by the fourth generation of the Scheiber family, the Edelweiss and Gurgl hotel has created a great Alpine experience for its guest for over 100 years by extending a warm welcome in the best Tyrolean tradition. The history of Hotel Edelweiss & Gurgl dates back to 1889 when great-grandfather Martin Scheiber, a true pioneer, built a small, but sturdy inn. Over the years, this inn turned into the biggest hotel in Obergurgl. A large number of guests have made the hotel a home away from home because of its unique location directly adjacent to the ski lifts, and its excellent service.
The hotel is not only a great place to stay due to its fantastic location for the ski lifts, but can also pride itself on its extensive wellness area, which leaves nothing to be desired. Its Glacier Spa ranks among the top wellness destinations in all of Austria. All rooms are state-of-the-art, beautifully styled, and very comfortable and the hotel's restaurant is known in the region for its excellent cuisine.
The Edelweiss & Gurgl is a true ski in ski out hotel which has been a family favourite for many years. The hotel has a beautiful interior and provides a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, as well as offering excellent spa facilities, cuisine and service.
