Hotel Eder

The Hotel Eder in Maria Alm is situated right next to the pretty church in the very heart of this traditional resort. The hotel is actually located on the main village square which is the social focus of the resort - there is always something going on whatever the time of year. The Schwaiger family have owned the hotel for over 50 years and recently it passed down to the younger generation who have set about putting their stamp on the hotel. Recent renovation work has resulted in the creation of the well-equipped modern spa, the roof top open air dining area with fire-pit, the bar area and the bedrooms. The old atmosphere and values of hospitality remain but it has been rejuvenated in spirit. The hotel now has super strong eco credentials with use of roof-top solar panels and there is a new link with Tesla cars which can be rented from the hotel in summer months.

At the Hotel Eder you are not just a guest - instead you are welcomed like an old friend. The newly designed bedrooms which use locally sourced wood on the walls and floors immediately make you feel at home. The locals feel the same way about the hotel's bar which is very much the meeting point for the town.

The main gondola lift of Maria Alm is less than 150 metres away and at the end of the day you can ski back to within one minute's walk of the hotel.
