Chalet The Lodge
A top drawer chalet for those seeking ultimate luxury.
Overview
The Lodge in Verbier is a stunning nine bedroom chalet owned by none other than Sir Richard Branson! This incredible chalet is in a beautiful location, perched in a forested area on a quiet road just 250 metres from the main ski lifts and backing onto one of the returning pistes. It is just a 5 minute stroll into the centre of this world class resort, though you can also take advantage of the chauffeur service provided. Guests staying here during the winter will be looked after by 15 members of staff, ensuring your holiday goes exactly as planned and catering for your every need. You can expect the highest level of food and service to be delivered every day, something which the staff have perfected from their years on Necker Island.
As you would expect from a chalet owned by the Virgin business magnate, a stay here provides something particularly special. As an example, how about entertaining yourself with some curling on the mini ice-rink? Or perhaps you just fancy a dip in the indoor pool, followed by a session of pampering in the spa? You could always just wind down in front of the fire while your hosts fix you up with a gin and tonic or two. Tailored menus offer a wide selection fine wines, spirits, and just about anything else you may need. Whether you need the kids to be entertained, or just have the family left in peace, The Lodge will provide the perfect year-round escape.
Curl up on the comfy sofas in front of a roaring fire and chat about the day's events with the family. Alternatively, if you need those muscles relaxing properly, why not take a dip in the indoor heated pool, or warm yourself up in the indoor or outdoor Jacuzzis. Later on, indulge yourself with some of the exquisite dishes from the kitchen - order what you want, or let the staff surprise you! You can even watch the chefs at work and pick up some tips while you try a few glasses of red or white from the cellar. Once a week you can listen or party to live music from talented local musicians. The Lodge also has a fully equipped gym, a steam room and a party area. You can shoot some pool or dance the night away all underneath a twinkling disco ball. If you want to take it easy the staff can pop on a film for you and your friends or family on the large plasma screen (there is a great selection of DVDs) while you enjoy a few drinks from the bar.
The highlights of your stay may well be the food served at The Lodge - the chefs serve a mix of Swiss and international cuisine. Dining can be as formal or informal as you wish, from full four-course gourmet meals to healthy meals with the children. Guests have complete freedom to choose what works best for them, and these details can all be discussed in detail before you arrive. Popular requests include themed meals, traditional Swiss cuisine, traditional mountain dishes, or a mix of all these things throughout the week! The range of international wines will keep even the most avid aficionado happy, but let's not forget the range of top quality spirits, international beers and excellent house champagne.
Winter rates include breakfast and afternoon tea, as well as dinner on all but one night during the week, when you'll be able to sample the best of Verbier's culinary delights. Each day the staff will book a table for lunch somewhere on the slopes. If you make it back to The Lodge for lunch, or if you choose to stay behind during the day, a light lunch will be served (included in the rates). All guests are encouraged to treat The Lodge like their own home and are welcome to help themselves to drinks they want at any time.
The Lodge is a great place for a family holiday as there are plenty of things for children to do. Children of all ages will be invited to take part in The Lodge Rangers. There is a set welcome pack and range of great activities available on request, including children's DVDs, toys, an Xbox, books, games, and treasure hunts in the evenings if they are not too tired. The Lodge also has a kids' bunkroom which can accommodate up to six children. Babysitting can be arranged for an extra charge; just give at least 24 hours' notice. Please note that during peak weeks and school holidays more notice may be required. Special food and beverages or simple snacks and light meals can also be prepared.
The Lodge can accommodate up to 18 adults in 9 bedrooms and up to 6 children and young adults in a specially designed bunkroom. Rates during the winter season are quoted for seven nights' exclusive hire of The Lodge for 18 guests. You can reserve individual rooms at The Lodge during the winter season if the chalet has not been booked for exclusive use six weeks prior to your arrival date.

If it's good enough for Richard Branson then it's probably good enough for the likes of you and me! This is a stunning, luxury property that is situated in an exclusive area of the resort. Until very recently it was the most luxurious chalet in the whole of the Verbier region. It's fair to say that there are now a couple of new mega properties in Verbier that surpass The Lodge in terms of grandeur. However, the service remains as impeccable as ever and the staff effortlessly combine professionalism with good old fashioned hospitality. Be prepared to be seriously impressed.
