Tignes Le Lac or Val Claret

Most of the Tignes chalets we offer in Le Lac and Val Claret (the upper most village of Tignes) are catered and come packaged with flights and transfers. These great value properties are offered by the larger UK chalet holiday companies such as Skiworld, Ski Total, Esprit Ski and Inghams.

Both Tignes Le Lac and Tignes Val Claret offer high altitude easy access to the Espace Killy ski area. There is not much to choose between the two in this respect. Le Lac does have the better nursery slope set up and is considered to be the more attractive of the two resort villages.

However, Val Claret has a better selection of apres ski bars and nightclubs. Plus there is quicker access from here to the highest skiing of the Grande Motte Glacier with its many off piste routes and couloirs. Expert skiers and a younger party crowd will therefore prefer to stay in Val Claret. With easier access to the Grande Motte ski area they will be the first to bag the best lines on a powder day.

If you are driving out to resort we also have chalets in Tignes which are offered on a 'chalet only' basis and booked without any travel options included. Down in Tignes les Brevieres, which is an older and more traditional village, the Black Diamond development provides a range of luxury chalets.
