Apartment Penthouse Solaise

The Penthouse Apartment (Apartment Charvet) within the new Le Refuge de Solaise hotel is quite simply the highest chalet apartment in the Alps. Offering 380 square metres of luxurious alpine space and sleeping up to 18 guests - this private apartment is a truly a beautiful alpine retreat. There are 8 luxury bedrooms and panoramic dining/living room, all carefully decorated with a mix of traditional and modern pieces ensuring accommodation to the highest standards. Guests staying here have access to all the hotel facilities, including the cinema room, panoramic 24 metre swimming pool, spa, treatment rooms and dining room. However, if guests prefer dinner can be served in their apartment for a private dining experience.

Le Refuge de Solaise is a luxury spa retreat hotel located at the top of the old Solaise cable car station. At 2,551 metres altitude it offers magnificent 360 degree views and on average gives an extra 6 sunshine hours compared to staying in the main resort of Val d'Isere. Surely there can be no better place to appreciate a mountain sunrise or sunset than on the high altitude plateau where the hotel and its penthouse apartment are located. When night falls guests can enjoy star gazing - without any light pollution the night views are just as spectacular as the daytime views. And when it snows overnight guests can be the first on the mountain to enjoy the fresh powder and untouched pistes, even before breakfast!

In the hotel there are 4 other smaller apartments, 16 bedrooms (standard, superior, family and family suites) plus also a dormitory which sleeps a further 14 guests in a 'refuge' style room with seven bunk beds built into cosy wooden niches. If you have other people wanting to join your party at a later date there will be extra rooms to take the added numbers.

Apart from the state of the art luxury spa facilities the hotel also offers a library with open fireplace, a cinema room for the evenings or bad weather days, a restaurant and a seminar room.

Please note that as access to the hotel and the Penthouse apartment is only possible via the Solaise Express lift that strict check in and check out hours come into play. Check in between 15.00hrs and 16.30hrs, check out before 11.00hrs. The Refuge de Solaise is only accessible via ski lift between 09.00hrs and 16.30hrs. On Sunday and Wednesday evening each week the lift to resort will operate between 7pm and 10.45pm.
