Chalet Hotel Les Chardons

Les Chardons is a small chalet hotel right in the centre of Val d'Isere's quaint and quiet old town. It is metres from the nursery slopes at the bottom of the Solaise. Here you will find all the main lifts, ski schools, ski shops, bus stops, hairdresser, baker and candle-stick maker. Guests here will spend more time skiing, eating and drinking and less time travelling around than anyone else in Val d'Isere.

Inside, the chalet is much more comfortable than one might imagine from its slightly plain exterior. Our clients are normally surprised as to how nice it is considering the cost. The dining room has always been charming and is the focal point and heartbeat of the chalet. The sitting room is full of deep sofas, and there is even a snug, or second sitting area with full HD Sky+ for those of you who don't want to miss the Rugby test/News/America's Next Top Model or whatever. There's a ski/snowboard locker and a room containing nothing but boot-warmers and glove-warmers. If you are accustomed to the pleasure of slipping your feet into warm, dry boots, wait until you put on warm, dry gloves!

The 27 bedrooms aren't huge but they're very comfortable, with modern bathrooms (for those with en-suite facilities), good lighting, brand new handmade curtains and big, thick duvets. Some have balconies, and all the rooms' views range from good to fabulous.

Rooms: 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23

Third Floor
Rooms: 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 and 32

Please note that the prices listed are for the B category twin or double bedrooms with en-suite bath or shower. Please ask for a quote if you want the slightly more expensive single rooms, or the less expensive twin or single rooms with shared facilities.

Chalet Les Chardons is unique in Val d'Isere: a large chalet for keen skiers who are also keen foodies. The food and service provided by the operator is first class as one of the directors runs the ship meticulously well as he lives in Val d'Isere and has been doing so for longer than he will let on.

Coach transfers between Geneva Airport and Val d'Isere:
Outbound.
The coaches will leave Geneva Airport at 14.00 and also at 16.00. We advise getting a flight at least 90 minutes before your intended coach departure time.

Return.
The coaches will leave Val d'Isère 07.30 and also 10.00. You should allow an approximate transfer time of 3 hours to Geneva Airport from Val d'Isere.

Please note that your flights must land at Geneva Airport 90 minutes before a booked transfer to Val d'Isere. For the return journey please do not book a flight that leaves Geneva Airport before 12:30.
