Chalet Sardonnere

Chalet Sardonnere in Meribel is a very comfortable property situated in the hamlet of Vanthier. This lovely property has been recently converted to provide the comforts of a family home combined with smart alpine chalet living. There is a well equipped kitchen with everything that you would expect and downstairs there is a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer. The main sitting room is perfectly large enough for up to 11 guests and there are lovely views both up towards the Saulire Mountain and down the main Meribel valley.

Please note that the Chalet Sardonnere can either be booked on a catered or self catered basis. If you are planning on booking this property on a catered basis we would need to make sure that a chef is available for your chosen week. Please call for details.

Vanthier is a charming hamlet situated below the main village of Meribel but it is an easy bus journey to and from Chaudanne where the main lift hub and ski school meeting points are located. The Chalet Sardonnere has outside parking for 3 cars and is less than 50 metres from the free bus stop. For better skiers there is a red run that comes directly back to the chalet which makes it possible to ski back for most of the season (snow conditions permitting).

For those not planning to ski back to the chalet at the end of the day we recommend hiring a locker at the Chaudanne lift station (these are heated). This costs approximately 45 euros for the week and takes three pairs of boots and 3 sets of skis and poles and so works out at little more than £10 per person. All guests have to do is travel up to Chaudanne in one of the morning buses (a 5 minute journey) and change into ski boots there. At the end of the day they can ski back to Chaudanne and change into comfy shoes/walking boots which would then allow guests to explore Meribel's apres ski scene or swimming pool complex before taking a bus back down to the chalet. It is all very easy.
