Chalet Le Houx

Chalet Le Houx (formerly known as Chalet Verthier) is located in the quiet back lanes of traditional and pretty Meribel Les Allues. Many of our guests prefer the 'proper' village feel of Les Allues with its traditional shops, bars and restaurants. However, the more main stream resort of Meribel and the main lift hub at Chaudanne are just a short gondola ride away.

The Chalet Le Houx has two floors. The first floor is spacious and offers a light filled sitting and dining area with log fireplace and a separate, large and well equipped kitchen. There is also a bathroom on this floor. Upstairs there are four guest bedrooms and an additional bathroom. On the ground level there is a garage with plenty of ski storage space and outside there is a private garden area which is perfect for snowman making in deep mid-winter or sitting in to soak up the afternoon sun in March and April.

We recommend that you rent a ski locker at the bottom of the main lifts in main Meribel. This means you can travel to and from the main Chaudanne lifts in your comfortable walking shoes. The lockers, which are in a well heated room, cost about 70 euros for the week but take 4 sets of skis and boots.
