Chalet Alpaka

The Chalet Alpaka in Chatel has the perfect location - it is situated in the very heart of this traditional mountain resort, with the lifts within easy reach. The main sitting room and bar area on the first floor have lovely extended valley views. There are 9 bedrooms on the 2nd floor and a further quad family bedroom and two triple bedrooms on the top floor of this property.

There are plenty of car parking spaces in the little carpark behind the chalet so it's perfect for those wanting to self-drive to resort. As well as the generous sized and comfortable sitting room there is also an indoor sauna.

NB: This chalet is operated by a Dutch tour operator, who have been in the catered ski chalet business since 1977, operating 37 ski chalets in France, Austria and Italy.

The main difference between a 'normal' British-run chalet, which you will be familiar with, and the Dutch product is that afternoon tea and cakes are not included. However, house wine, beers, soft drinks, and tea and coffee are available and are included in the cost of your holiday.

Breakfasts will be continental in style with cheese, hams and bread, yogurt and fruit juices, tea and coffee.

Below are examples of typical evening dinners:

Starter: Basil bruschetta with fresh tomato and mozzarella.
Main: Meat loaf with roasted onions, mushrooms and tomatoes, pomme gratin, salad with red onion, cucumber, feta and olives.
Pud: Poached pears with chocolate mousse.

Or

Starter: Giant mushrooms stuffed with bacon and bleu d'Auvergne served with a warm 'Morzinoise' roll.
Main: Braised cod with a mustard cream sauce, mashed potatoes and roasted winter vegetables.
Pud: Warm pear apple crumb pie with ice cream.

Afternoon tea and cakes are not included in the cost of the holiday. If you would like to have afternoon tea and cakes you can pay a small supplement. Please call for details.
