" Accommodation description etc all seemed to work well. As described. Plenty of ski school teacher availability - good hire kit. The chalet was good. The bedrooms were pretty basic, equipped with showers rather than baths - not great for soaking muscles! There was a great sauna though. Chalet had enough lounge space which was nice, easy to reach the bus stop into town & ski lifts. However, there were lots of stairs in the chalet! No gargen or much set up for kids (8 & 10) but there were some games and cards though. The ski was good but there were two downsides: 1) The various ski areas are not particularly well joined up and you have to ski over and take a bus etc - also one of the main lifts over takes forever as you can only get 40 people in at a time. 2) St Anton is not good for beginners, generally quite steep, also the sole blue run back to the bottom was closed due to an avalanche which meant the only way back down was via a black, not great when it is full of inexperienced skiers! However, if you are a good skier, love reds, blacks and off piste - it's great place to go for sure!! Short or no queues even at half term - amazing! Ski school in Austria is great as the kids go ALL DAY!! You need to pay for lunch but drop off at 9.30am pick up at 3.30pm and you can book anytime from 2 days to 6 days - really flexible, they push the kids so no chorus of complaints that it was boring following the instructor. They spoke really good English so I didn't have to tell them my youngest was partially deaf!! [I had to do that in Italy]. Really good snow conditions and some great runs. Simon Hoskyns (Alpine Answers) was very good. You brought to my attention a great last minute discounted half term skiing holiday in a place I had never been to before. We were going to skip skiing this year but the temptation was too great and I booked within 3 days of getting the email! "

" Our bedroom was small but then we did have a bath. Don't think we got the best of the resort as it was the last week and too many places were already closed. Shopping opportunities not great - the local smaller resorts such as Lech were much more interesting. The Moosewirt bar, however, was brilliant! I am a returning very happy client of Alpine Answers. We never use anyone else! "
