Chalet Jessica

The Chalet Jessica in Solden was renovated in summer 2020 to bring its comfort up to date. It is located the main Giggijoch gondola lift station on the other side of the river. There is a short walk to the bridge to cross to the other side so that getting to and from the lift and the bottom of the home piste is no more than a two minute walk.

The centre of this vibrant resort is also very close and easily reached with a short stroll. The bathrooms are modern and the chalet has retained plenty of the original features including the stuberl style sitting room area.

There is one bedroom on the ground floor and a further five main guest bedrooms on the upper floor.

NB: This chalet is operated by a Dutch tour operator, who have been in the catered ski chalet business since 1977, operating 37 ski chalets in France, Austria and Italy.

The main difference between a 'normal' British-run chalet, which you will be familiar with, and the Dutch product is that afternoon tea and cakes are not included. However, house wine, beers, soft drinks, and tea and coffee are available and are included in the cost of your holiday.

Breakfasts will be continental in style with cheese, hams and bread, yogurt and fruit juices, tea and coffee.

Below are examples of typical evening dinners:

Starter: Basil bruschetta with fresh tomato and mozzarella.
Main: Meat loaf with roasted onions, mushrooms and tomatoes, pomme gratin, salad with red onion, cucumber, feta and olives.
Pud: Poached pears with chocolate mousse.

Or

Starter: Giant mushrooms stuffed with bacon and bleu d'Auvergne served with a warm 'Morzinoise' roll.
Main: Braised cod with a mustard cream sauce, mashed potatoes and roasted winter vegetables.
Pud: Warm pear apple crumb pie with ice cream.

Afternoon tea and cakes are not included in the cost of the holiday. If you would like to have afternoon tea and cakes you can pay a small supplement. Please call for details.
