Chalet Dorfer Apartment

The Dorfer Apartment in Gerlos is located directly opposite the larger Chalet Dorferhaus (which sleeps 12 - 14 guests). The two properties can be booked together for larger parties of up to 22 guests so that all guests dine together in the larger property.

The smaller Dorfer Apartment sleeps 6 - 8 guests in three bedrooms and occupies the 4th floor of a smart residential building. The apartment is accessed via a lift from the ground floor and offers lovely far-reaching views over the resort centre from its elevated position. The comfortable living room features a generous balcony which overlooks the bustling centre of Gerlos resort. Two of the bedrooms also have their own balcony. Parking is available for two cars in the building's garage.

The new Dorfbahn Gerlos gondola station (which you can ski back to at the end of the day) is just 300 metres from the chalet. The flat walk passed the church to and from the lift station takes a little over 4 minutes.

NB: This chalet is operated by a Dutch tour operator, who have been in the catered ski chalet business since 1977, operating 37 ski chalets in France, Austria and Italy.

The main difference between a 'normal' British-run chalet, which you will be familiar with, and the Dutch product is that afternoon tea and cakes are not included. However, house wine, beers, soft drinks, and tea and coffee are available and are included in the cost of your holiday.

Breakfasts will be continental in style with cheese, hams and bread, yogurt and fruit juices, tea and coffee.

Below are examples of typical evening dinners:

Starter: Basil bruschetta with fresh tomato and mozzarella.
Main: Meat loaf with roasted onions, mushrooms and tomatoes, pomme gratin, salad with red onion, cucumber, feta and olives.
Pud: Poached pears with chocolate mousse.

Or

Starter: Giant mushrooms stuffed with bacon and bleu d'Auvergne served with a warm 'Morzinoise' roll.
Main: Braised cod with a mustard cream sauce, mashed potatoes and roasted winter vegetables.
Pud: Warm pear apple crumb pie with ice cream.

Afternoon tea and cakes are not included in the cost of the holiday. If you would like to have afternoon tea and cakes you can pay a small supplement. Please call for details.
