Chalet Raterhof

Chalet Raterhof sit right at the foot of the slopes next to the beginners piste in Fiss. The ski lift is less than 50 metres away from the chalet and you have the option to ski back at the end of the day, making this the perfect location for all abilities. The village centre can be reached by a short walk.

This property is spacious, and the rooms are furnished comfortably, it is one of the original properties owned by the operator and therefore has a touch of extra care. There are 10 bedrooms and recently renovated bathrooms. All the first-floor bedrooms have balcony access, which take advantage of the stunning mountain views. The lounge has a traditional décor with plenty of Tyrolean charm, the dining room is designed for guests to socialise and make the most of their meals.

One bonus is that the chalet has plenty of parking and you won't need a car during your stay. There is a large garden surrounding the chalet, great for building snowmen and playing in the snow as well as a large sun terrace, perfect for relaxing with lovely mountain views.

NB: This chalet is operated by a Dutch tour operator, who have been in the catered ski chalet business since 1977, operating 37 ski chalets in France, Austria and Italy.

The main difference between a 'normal' British-run chalet, which you will be familiar with, and the Dutch product is that afternoon tea and cakes are not included. However, house wine, beers, soft drinks, and tea and coffee are available and are included in the cost of your holiday.

Breakfasts will be continental in style with cheese, hams and bread, yogurt and fruit juices, tea and coffee.

Below are examples of typical evening dinners:

Starter: Basil bruschetta with fresh tomato and mozzarella.
Main: Meat loaf with roasted onions, mushrooms and tomatoes, pomme gratin, salad with red onion, cucumber, feta and olives.
Pud: Poached pears with chocolate mousse.

Or

Starter: Giant mushrooms stuffed with bacon and bleu 'dAuvergne served with a warm 'Morzinoise' roll.
Main: Braised cod with a mustard cream sauce, mashed potatoes and roasted winter vegetables.
Pud: Warm pear apple crumb pie with ice cream.

Afternoon tea and cakes are not included in the cost of the holiday. If you would like to have afternoon tea and cakes you can pay a small supplement. Please call for details.
