Chalet Kraxner

Chalet Kraxner, situated at one end of Serfaus village, at the beginning of the main car-free street. The chalet is located on the first and second floor of a traditional elevated Austrian building. This provides you with a lovely view of the village church as well as the rest of the village and the majestic valley.

The interior of the chalet is simplistic in design and decoration but fully furnished in a comforting Tyrolean style. On the first floor you will find four bedrooms and a kitchen where the staff will cook up hearty chalet cuisine. A small sitting/dining room can also be found. On the second floor is a spacious family room sleeping up to five people with a bathroom. All the beds are comfortable and ensure a good night's rest.

The main gondolas are located 900 metres from the chalet. However, the underground train station is less than 150 metres away and takes you to the main lifts and ski school meeting point within just a few minutes. The centre of Serfaus is located just one minute walk from the chalet.

NB: This chalet is operated by a Dutch tour operator, who have been in the catered ski chalet business since 1977, operating 37 ski chalets in France, Austria and Italy.

The main difference between a 'normal' British-run chalet, which you will be familiar with, and the Dutch product is that afternoon tea and cakes are not included. However, house wine, beers, soft drinks, and tea and coffee are available and are included in the cost of your holiday.

Breakfasts will be continental in style with cheese, hams and bread, yogurt and fruit juices, tea and coffee.

Below are examples of typical evening dinners:

Starter: Basil bruschetta with fresh tomato and mozzarella.
Main: Meat loaf with roasted onions, mushrooms and tomatoes, pomme gratin, salad with red onion, cucumber, feta and olives.
Pud: Poached pears with chocolate mousse.

Or

Starter: Giant mushrooms stuffed with bacon and bleu 'dAuvergne served with a warm 'Morzinoise' roll.
Main: Braised cod with a mustard cream sauce, mashed potatoes and roasted winter vegetables.
Pud: Warm pear apple crumb pie with ice cream.

Afternoon tea and cakes are not included in the cost of the holiday. If you would like to have afternoon tea and cakes you can pay a small supplement. Please call for details.
