Chalet Hotel Sonnwend

The Chalet Hotel Sonnwend is a traditional property located on the banks of the River Fieberbrunner close to the centre of Fieberbrunn resort which is only 300 metres walk away.

The Aubadstuberl spa and swimming pool centre is just 300 metres away in the other direction and this provides excellent facilities for relaxation after a day's skiing with steam room and sauna.

The characteristic Austrian interior decor of this catered chalet hotel creates a cosy, homely atmosphere. In addition to the dining room, there is also an in-house bar. The bedrooms are located on the 3 upper floors, all with private shower and wc and balcony. The chalet has a heated ski storage room and ample parking.

NB: This chalet is operated by a Dutch tour operator, who have been in the catered ski chalet business since 1977, operating 37 ski chalets in France, Austria and Italy.

The main difference between a 'normal' British-run chalet, which you will be familiar with, and the Dutch product is that afternoon tea and cakes are not included. However, house wine, beers, soft drinks, and tea and coffee are available and are included in the cost of your holiday.

Breakfasts will be continental in style with cheese, hams and bread, yogurt and fruit juices, tea and coffee.

Below are examples of typical evening dinners:

Starter: Basil bruschetta with fresh tomato and mozzarella.
Main: Meat loaf with roasted onions, mushrooms and tomatoes, pomme gratin, salad with red onion, cucumber, feta and olives.
Pud: Poached pears with chocolate mousse.

Or

Starter: Giant mushrooms stuffed with bacon and bleu d'Auvergne served with a warm 'Morzinoise' roll.
Main: Braised cod with a mustard cream sauce, mashed potatoes and roasted winter vegetables.
Pud: Warm pear apple crumb pie with ice cream.

Afternoon tea and cakes are not included in the cost of the holiday. If you would like to have afternoon tea and cakes you can pay a small supplement. Please call for details.
