Our Ski Holiday Top Tips

| | Family Ski Holidays

Winter is fast approaching, and it is an exciting time for the ski industry as the ski season begins. It's also exciting for our many clients who will be heading out to the Alps in the next few months! The following list is some ski holiday top tips from our team of ski specialists that will help make your holiday truly memorable.

Hire a Mountain Guide

We recommend hiring a private ski instructor or mountain guide to get the most out of your skiing, whether on piste or off! They really are worth the money, as you will see immediate improvements in your technique and confidence. For off-piste skiers having a guide means you will not only be safer, but they can show you all the best places in resort that you might not have discovered by yourself! On top of that, you won't have to wait in any lift queues, and you'll be taken to the best places for lunch! For help booking an instructor or guide, just give one of our team a call.

Bring the Kids

Teaching your children to ski is one of life’s real joys. We recommend that the earliest you start to teach your child to ski is 3 to 4 years old. The progression is amazingly quick when children start early, but it's never too late to start! There are many excellent ski schools in resorts which are child-friendly, and we can sort out lessons along with the rest of your booking, saving you the hassle. However, if you're skiing in a peak week like Christmas or Half Term, it's important to mention ski lessons to us when you first make your booking, as classes get booked up incredibly quickly, and there may not be space if you enquire a couple of weeks before you travel!

Stay in a Luxury Chalet

For an experience like no other, stay in one of our stunning luxury chalets. With beautiful traditional chalet architecture and luxurious, modern furnishings, luxury chalets provide exceptional convenience and service in all the best resorts in the Alps. Whether you want a private hot tub, swimming pool, chauffeur, chef, butler, helipad or ski guide, there is a luxury chalet to perfectly suit your requirements. Simply make an enquiry now, and we'll find the perfect accommodation for you, whatever your budget.

Stay in a Boutique Hotel

If chalet holidays aren't for you, almost all resorts in the Alps have a range of amazing hotels to choose from. From luxurious and traditional to modern and chic, there is a beautiful ski hotel to suit every taste and budget. If the choice is overwhelming, our ski specialists can help you find the perfect one.

Try a Ski Weekend

If you don't have time to take a full week off work, a ski weekend is a perfect choice. We have been organising ski weekends for over 20 years, and we know how to find the less advertised short break options quickly and easily for you. Not all resorts are suitable, mainly due to being far away from airports, but there are many little gems that we know of that work well!

Try a Different Resort

Most of our clients favour the big ski resorts which tick every possible box. However, there are plenty of incredible resorts that offer a truly brilliant ski holiday experience, and we recommend trying them at least once!

France: St Martin de Belleville, Serre Chevalier, Ste Foy and Valmorel

Austria: Lech and Kitzbuhel

Italy: Ski in any of the resorts in the Sella Ronda. We also love Madonna di Campiglio.

Switzerland: Engelberg, Laax, Lenzerheide, Grimentz and Zinal.

Book a Late Deal

If you are looking to book something last minute, we have a fantastic search engine for ski chalet deals. We make booking a chalet deal as easy as possible, and we guarantee excellent savings on some brilliant chalets in amazing Alpine resorts! Just search on our ski chalet deals page, and filter by your dates and requirements - deals start to appear about 4 weeks before your looking to travel!

As we look forward to another fun-filled ski season, we are on hand to take the stress out of organising your next ski holiday. Simply call us or send an enquiry, and we'll do the rest!
