Overview
The Hotel Terrace is set in a majestic mountain landscape. This Art Noveau hotel, originally built in 1903, still looks just as impressive today. Even in the pre-war years the Terrace was embodiment of everything one imagines a mountain hotel to be. It has preserved this unique old school charm to the present day but is aimed these days at the budget conscious skier.
The Hotel Terrace has the atmosphere of a club hotel which means it is informal and the dinners are self-service. There are evening cabaret shows put on by the staff downstairs in the nightclub which although rather cheesy are good fun.
Weekend stays are possible but the latest arrival during the week is Wednesday. So a 4 night stay would be possible from Wednesday to Sunday for example.
If you like your hotel experience to be a little quirky this would suit you well. Classic old school building with a Germanic clubby atmosphere. All very friendly with cheesy live entertainment at night, and even an in-house nightclub! Rooms and food are absolutely fine although buffet style. A bit of a hike to the lifts, just so you are aware.
