" The staff at the Hotel Pavillon were wonderful - really accommodating and went the extra mile to be helpful (providing itemized room bar tabs and helping with locating lost phones / ski jackets). The first night some of the boys were a bit noisy and they were super relaxed about it (although we did tell them off so it didn't happen on another night). The food was fine, it was a little bit of a dated experience however the service was excellent and the food was nice (and a lot of it!). The location was perfect - in fact there didn't look like there was a better located hotel for the cable car. The bedrooms were also really nice (although some people complained the beds were a little hard, that wasn't the prevailing view). Super clean and perfect for the type of trip we had. Courmayeur was perfect for a short break - just enough of a large enough ski area to keep the more advanced skiers occupied for the right amount of days. Good for beginners, but a little bit disappointingly not many connected blue runs to take them to lunch spots further up the mountain. Although I can't think of a resort which is super connected by blue runs anyway. It just meant it was hard to meet up as a group for lunch with the beginners as it would mean the whole group returning to the bottom, which was a bit impractical. It might just be something which can't be helped. The town is lovely, picturesque and we really enjoyed our 'aperitivo' outside in the squares. Food on the mountain was both the best I've ever had while skiing and the most affordable! Nightlife was a bit quiet (although the ski instructors said this was due to it being the end of season) but we still made the most of it and had a great time! We used ski and snowboard Courmayeur ski school rather than Scuola Montebianco. They were great and highly recommended! "
