Hotel Alpaga

The Hotel Alpaga in Megeve is one of the new chalet style hotels that are springing up across the Alps. The hotel is actually made up of different chalet buildings. One is dedicated to the reception area and spa; one for both restaurants and some of the rooms; one for the main guest bedrooms and one for the suites. Then there are 6 separate chalets that are booked for exclusive use only. All the chalets are connected by outside walking paths so the feeling is like you are in a mountain hamlet - away from it all.

The main restaurant at the Alpaga Hotel, Le Table de L'Alpaga, has now been awarded 2 Michelin stars. The quality of food and service is not to be under estimated.

This is a five star hotel but not in the grand sense. The service is less formal and more relaxed than in a normal 5 star hotel. The concept is that guests should be relaxed in the quiet surroundings of the hotel chalets. The hotel has a shuttle service to the centre of Megeve but those that like to be in the buzz of a ski resort might feel a bit isolated at the Alpaga. However, those that want to be quiet and relaxed will really appreciate the edge of resort position and the elevated views across Megeve towards Mont Blanc in the distance.

There are 26 hotel rooms decorated in three different and distinct styles (granite, white and tobacco colour schemes). There are three grades: classique, deluxe and prestige. There are also 7 suites and 5 chalets.
