Le K2 Palace

Le K2 Palace opened its doors for business December 2011 and is the latest addition to the 5 star Prestige Property stable built by Philippe Capezzone and Stanley Fink. It is now one of just a few hotels in Courchevel 1850 to be awarded the top 5 star 'palace' hotel rating. More a resort within a resort the K2 Palace boasts 29 luxurious hotel rooms and suites and is situated just above the Cospillot piste (thereby offering ski-in and ski-out convenience) and is also close to the Croisette and main village centre. In the grounds of the hotel are also 7 deluxe stand alone chalet properties that sleep 10 to 12 guests in supreme comfort. Each chalet has an indoor pool and spa area and one also has a 9 seater cinema room.

In the main hotel there are 3 x classic rooms, 5 x deluxe rooms and 15 prestige rooms. There are also 3 x family prestige rooms and a small number of luxury suites ranging in size from 105-300 square metres.

There is really not much that this hotel does not provide. Three amazing restaurants: The Black Pyramid where half board dinners are served; The Kintessence, the 2 Michelin starred restaurant; and The Sarkara, the first French gastronomic restaurant dedicated to the creation of puddings (awarded a Michelin star 2019). New in 2023 opens restaurant Le Bottleneck which is located in the extension of Le K2 Palace offers braise cooking and signature cheese fondues. Cosy, or even intimate, its coherent art of the table and its decoration in raw tones are highlighted by subdued lighting.

The Winston Klub provides the perfect venue for a quiet drink after dinner in a relaxed and refined atmosphere. Its comfortable leather armchairs; fine collection of old and rare spirits and exceptional cigar collection all lend themselves to create a wonderful experience.

The 8611 Bar (named after the altitude of the K2 mountain) gives guests a friendly and intimate atmosphere in which to enjoy cocktails of the highest order of quality. Yves Vitran, head barman, and number two mixology world champion, draws inspiration from the great cocktail classics, dreaming up original creations to be enjoyed beside the fireplace. Musical events provide a rhythm to the bar's refined atmosphere. The interior architecture recalls the rocky peaks and ice fields of the Karakoram's highest summits, from which the stone bar and glass chandeliers draw inspiration.

The K'baret is exclusive to Le K2 Palace. It provides an exceptional setting, which is open solely to the hotel's customers and on request. This unique venue can be completely converted into a cinema, nightclub or theatre. It is equipped with a bar and the latest sound, video and light technologies. For celebrating birthdays and immortalising events, the K'baret is a special place for organising unforgettable experiences. A number of colourful shows are often organised during the winter, including magic, cabaret entertainment and many more surprises for the delight of adults and children alike.
