Overview
Hotel Restaurant Spa Rosengarten is THE cutting-edge gourmet destination in Kirchberg near Kitzbuhel. The brainchild of young Austrian Star Chef, Simon Taxacher, (think Marcus Wareing for a comparison) this exquisite hotel brings together sophisticated design, superior materials and supreme comfort with individual service, warm hospitality and a world-class culinary experience.
The award-winning Restaurant Rosengarten already has a legendary reputation as the finest gourmet venue in the Kitzbuhel Alps, the only restaurant in Tirol ever to be awarded 2 Michelin stars (2009). Taxacher's innovative French-Mediterranean cuisine is the quintessence of all activity at the hotel, which also offers the Bistro Rosengarten Light Dining and a top floor cooking studio and cookery school. 26 contemporary rooms & suites, a chic bar lounge, cigar room as well as a charming spa for individually tailored beauty treatments and a romantic spa suite for two, completes the range of facilities.
The Rosengarten is the epitome of chic and relaxed holidays in the Alps, Gourmet Ski reinvented - and this just 500m from the Maierlbahn, taking skiers to all the top pistes (transfers are provided by the hotel shuttle service).
Over the years we have seen many fine hotels but honestly I don't think we have experienced anything like the Rosengarten. Three very obvious qualities stand out regards this unique hotel. Let's start with the food. The fine dining dinner guarantees you a culinary memory that will last a lifetime. It easily merits its 2 star Michelin rating and it would hardly be surprising if it gained a 3rd. However, with 9 courses and a very expensive wine list you need to be both very hungry and fairly flush to eat here. There is, however, the bistro restaurant for other evenings but the wine list here is the same and the food a little ordinary by comparison. The second quality is the uber trendy design and ultra-modern finishes to the interior. Lastly - the service. This is ultra-professional and the staff superbly polite and unobtrusive.
We would definitely recommend a stay here - it offers an unforgettable experience. However, a 7 night stay might be too much. We suggest a two centre itinerary - 2 or 3 nights at the Rosengarten followed by four or five nights in Kitzbuhel which is only 10 minutes away by car.
