Chalet Berg-Klause

The Pension Berg-Klause (now a catered chalet property with a Dutch chalet company) has a central location in the delightful mountain village resort of Stuben. The mighty Arlberg ski area is easily accessed from here as well as the north facing slopes directly above the village which offer some of the Arlberg's best off-piste terrain.

The centre of traditional Stuben is less than a minute's walk from the front door. The ski lift is only 150 metres away, which gives you a direct connection to the entire ski area of St.Anton, Lech, Zurs and more.

The Berg-Klause sleeps up to 30 guests and the bedrooms all offer en-suite facilities (one room with bath and the others with shower) and there is a spa area on the lower floor with sauna, infra-red cabin and relaxation area. There is a small sitting room on the ground floor and a traditional dining room where guests have breakfasts and dinners.

NB: This chalet is operated by a Dutch tour operator, who have been in the catered ski chalet business since 1977, operating 37 ski chalets in France, Austria and Italy.

The main difference between a 'normal' British-run chalet, which you will be familiar with, and the Dutch product is that afternoon tea and cakes are not included. However, house wine, beers, soft drinks, and tea and coffee are available and are included in the cost of your holiday.

Breakfasts will be continental in style with cheese, hams and bread, yogurt and fruit juices, tea and coffee.

Below are examples of typical evening dinners:

Starter: Basil bruschetta with fresh tomato and mozzarella.
Main: Meat loaf with roasted onions, mushrooms and tomatoes, pomme gratin, salad with red onion, cucumber, feta and olives.
Pud: Poached pears with chocolate mousse.

Or

Starter: Giant mushrooms stuffed with bacon and bleu d'Auvergne served with a warm 'Morzinoise' roll.
Main: Braised cod with a mustard cream sauce, mashed potatoes and roasted winter vegetables.
Pud: Warm pear apple crumb pie with ice cream.

Afternoon tea and cakes are not included in the cost of the holiday. If you would like to have afternoon tea and cakes you can pay a small supplement. Please call for details.
