Chalet Woodpecker

Chalet Woodpecker in Alpe d'Huez is one half of a recently developed property located just below the resort centre. Located on the Avenue de l'Eclose, the main road leading to the resort centre, it offers guests commanding far reaching views across the valley. The Eclose/Bergers lifts are just two minutes' walk from the chalet's front door so getting skiing in the morning is very easy as is returning at the end of the day.

On the lower floor of the chalet is a spa area with indoor hot tub and sauna as well as shower. Please note that the spa is shared with Chalet Nightingale (sleeps 6 - 7) next door.

The main entrance is on the ground floor and this level has four of the guest bedrooms. There are three further guest bedrooms and main living area all on the top floor - taking in the great views. Two of the bedrooms on the upper floor also share a balcony with great views.

The Chalet Woodpecker can be booked along with its neighbouring sister property, Chalet Nightingale, for larger parties of up to 21 guests.

The price shown for this chalet includes a 'contactless catering' service: As well as the rental of the chalet your food and drink for the week is provided and your cupboards and fridge stocked for your arrival. Included will be breakfast, snacks to take with you skiing, afternoon tea and cakes/snacks, pre-dinner eats plus a three course dinner on 6 out of 7 nights (this also includes a selection of after dinner cheeses, plus champagne for your first night, a kir for before dinner and unlimited wine and some beers). A delicious menu for the week is pre-planned, with a mix of ready prepared meals from a local delicatessen and easy to cook dishes or sides. All that will be required from you is to pop a few things in the oven and throw together a few ingredients to make a simple salad, or steam a few vegetables as sides to your main meal. Resort staff will also visit your chalet mid-week to give it a full clean and change of towels. However, this is done during the day when you're out on the slopes.
